www.Quia.com

Check this site out. Your technology person should have a free login and password (otherwise $55/yr). I am trying to spend some time concentrating on vocabulary. With this site you can create a hangman, concentration or matching game just by entering the information once. With this site I enter in a definition and have the students play hangman to solve for the term. The students enjoy this and don't really realize that they are practing or reviewing vocabulary.

  3. Thank you for sharing! I heard about this website from the Spanish Teacher at my school, but I didn't realize that it is for Math as well. I thought it is for learning Spanish only.

  4. This site also allows you to create tests and quizzes. It will score them for you! Tons of work all taken care of. You can also search other premade games and lessons! It is helpful, but be sure to preview the whole lesson or game. It is by teachers, but we all make mistakes.

  5. I thought this website was designed solely for History teachers.I had no idea that math teachers can use this web-site. I will definitely have to check out this web-site especially for the vocabulary. I find that students need the vocabulary developement for number properties and the functions unit to successfully move to the analysis and evaluative stage when evaluating problems.

  6. I have used this website several times to create problems for students. Unfortunately, you have to pay if you want to actually write your own problems, but if you get access to it, it is a powerful resource for your students. You can type in word problems. I have even used it to for complicated Algebra problems. You just have to teach the students how exactly to type in the answers.
